Week 14
Monday~
Finished and posted 2 banners from last week, developed concepts for another banner for the student health 101 online magazine and posted. Gathered and selected Womens Basketball images for a client.Wednesday~
Developed 3 concepts for web banners.Friday~
Posted banners and archived athletic photos. Began editing photos with a vignetting effect and blur for future slide show.Tuesday, April 3, 2012
week 13
Monday~
Found stock photos needed for 3 banner ads. Researched clients and Created concepts for each of the 3 banners.Wednesday~
Completed 4 banners and got feedback from a client. Continued to work on long term projects such as the slide shows and forms. Stayed an extra hour to finish and post a sustainability event banner.
Friday~
Gathered stock for 2 banners developed concepts and finished up an admissions form.
week 12
Monday~
I Continued working with forms. Completed a banner with a quick turn around time for an upcoming bio-fuel talk for sustainability month.
Wednesday~
Created and posted a banner for an upcoming film screening which addresses Bullying. Continued creating forms in acrobat.Friday~
Created an archive of images on cd for use by sombody outside of the marketing dept. Continued with long term projects.

Week 11
Monday~
Learned to create pdf Forms using adobe acrobat and finished one form. Pulled photos from a rich text document for use on the web and for archiving.
Tuesday~
Completed a banner for sustainability month. Attended meeting for future project and discussed a few possible ways I could help with the webpage. Completed the coding for the PR photos. Attempted to complete a second Form but the original PDF had pending changes to be made.

Edited Directory Pages using the built in cms tools, Created a banner for the Cafe Make over
Wednesday~
Sent Athletic photos to in house print shop and learned the process for doing so. Continued transferring and creating the slide shows to new system.Friday~
Retouched Athletic photos after spotting some print issues. Made Banner for Construction re-routes and corrected a PDF link on the server. Discussed upcoming meeting and possibility of helping to re-brand the planetarium and update its webpage.

Week 8
Monday~
I selected, gathered and edited photos for future use on the School marketing webpage for community use.
Wednesday~
continued to work on photos for both the athletic and marketing depatments and completed concepts for banners on the public webpage for the planetarium and for U of I students looking to take classes at Parkland. I also completed a Header banner for the U of I student page.
Friday~
I got feedback on concepts and revised banners. Upon completion I used the CMS to upload the finished work to the public webpage.

Considered images for placement on the new commerce page, and began planning some motion projects.
Friday~
Worked up concepts for a web banner. Cropped and re-sized Athletic photos for a set of uniform headshots at 100 dpi for web implementation. Used the CMS to upload to the resources folder.

Wednesday~
Chose 1 athletic photo for print to best represent each sport offered.
Friday~
Worked up two concepts for web banners and attempted to tweak a slide show system -went home early due to illness.
This week
This week I exercised sound photo selection, creative cropping, and a uniform and consistent layout scheme. I believe my concepts for web banners are improving.

Week 5
Monday~
Finished 2 banners for international student registration and one for the blog.
Wednesday~
Experimented with various methods of implementing a slide show system for the dual credit student slides. I tested flickr, pictobrowser, Java script, Jquerry, and Iframes.
This week
This week I worked on styling a banner that tied into the blog look and feel while still looking good on the Parkland website. I also gained some experience with slide systems, looking for one that auto-started and looped. Although I am thus far unsuccessful finding a system that uses little or no coding for future student workers I have learned a lot about the process. I was also introduced to the CMS system and methods of importing content.

Monday~
I developed a concept for the dual credit webpage using existing elements as well as reproducing a few High School logos.
Wednesday~
An unexpected project was given to me and expected by the end of the day. I had to create a web banner in 2 formats promoting Black History Month using a print design as a guideline. I completed the project and was asked to complete two more since they were coming out so well.
Friday~
2 more web banners were completed for access success and student ambassadors, once again an unexpected project with a short turn around time. We also produced another format of the Black History Month banner to be pushed out to Smile Politely, a community online magazine. I am currently developing a concept for a foreign exchange program project.
This week
This week was an exercise in producing quality work in a short amount of time. I learned to quickly gather information and resources while simultaneously considering the direction of a project.

Completed 1 web banner, and started developing concepts for a new webpage promoting a dual credit program. Contributed some material to an idea board for an upcoming promotion/repositioning project.

Further developed concepts and began slides for a transitioning banner highlighting students in the dual credit program.

I thought of ways to reposition a product, how to implement a new slide system, and exercised creative cropping and type placement to fit within a set format.

Completed 2 web banners, one promoting the Wellness Center and one to direct students to important dates.
Friday~
Completed one web banner prompting students to complete a course evaluation and started a new project promoting Parkland's dual credit program.
This week
I continued to exercise the ability to deliver a message with as few words as possible, while considering how elements related to each other on the same page. One thing I believe I particularly succeeded in was catching and directing a viewers eye to important information.

Completed 2 web banners for upcoming educational and informational events. "Parkland Pathway To Illinois - open house" and "Meet The Pros - a running series of lectures from local creative professionals"
This week
I exercised the ability to translate existing print pieces in to a promotional web ad and had to work within an established set of proportions while editing content down to the most important information.
